Meghan Brennan, Founder MOMfitters

Meghan instructs and choreographs MOMfit™, MOMswim™, MOMjam™, MOMtime™ and MOMwalk™ programs. She works with local Sign Language Specialist, Kathy Romeo to create the curriculum for MOMsign™ and with Tiffany Petranto, Preschool Spanish Teacher to create MOMespañol™.

Meghan has comprehensive Pilates background and has been trained in multiple methods: STOTT PILATES Mat, Reformer and Pre/Post Natal, PhysicalMind Institute Certified in Mat, and Powerhouse Pilates Mat, Reformer and Props. She has taught Pilates Ball, Reformer, Mat, and Props classes for groups, privates and semi-privates. Meg also holds certifications in Water Safety Instruction and CPR. She also serves on the First Connections Board of Advisors.

Prior to founding MOMfitters, Meghan worked as Director of Client Relations and Pilates Personal & Group Trainer for Body Access Pilates and Pedal Center in Arlington, MA. Thoreau Club hired Meghan on as their Member Integration Coach and Private Pilates Instructor and Group Trainer in 2002.

Meghan has extensive experience in marketing from working in Sales and Marketing at Discovery Channel and Ascent Media. She has worked intimately to help promote the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in past years and kept participants motivated by conducting large scale stretching clinics and organizing dynamic walking classes months prior to the event.

Debbie Foote, Director of ABC Music Together

Debbie graduated from Northwestern University with a BM in Flute and Voice Performance and studied Dalcroze Eurhythmics at the Manhattan School of Music. Debbie currently sings with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops.

Tom Foote, Founder RhythmKids

Tom has played drum set and percussion for more than 20 years. He plays all styles of music (Jazz, Latin, Classical, African, Blues, Pop, Folk and Neo-soul) and has toured around the world and is featured on several CDs. He is currently endorsed by Cappella Drumsticks and is featured in the Band Radiance, one of Boston's premiere bands. Tom brings enthusiasm and inspiration to every class he teaches.

Kathy Romeo, Sign Language Specialist

Kathy has a Masters Degree in Child Development and has worked in an Early Intervention Program as a Developmental Educator. For the past four years, Kathy has taught Infant/Toddler signing classes to parent and educators with great success. Kathy also has 3 children of her own: 2 proficient signers, Gracie 3 ½ and Ellie 2 and future signer, infant Charlotte.


Michelle Shoemaker, Longy School of Music

Michelle, a versatile and dynamic musician, has a doctorate in clarinet performance (New England Conservatory) and master's degree in music theory (Michigan State University). She has taught music to students of all ages, from young children to retired adults. Michelle is the chair of the woodwind and brass department at the Longy School of Music and a member of the music theory faculty for the Handel and Haydn Society's Vocal Apprenticeship Program. Since the birth of her daughter Evvy in August 2005, Michelle has rediscovered the joy of sharing music with infants and toddlers.

Jennifer Davidson, Prenatal Yoga Instructor

Jennifer Davidson started out teaching in group fitness and while attending college, stumbled on a course called introduction to yoga. Since then, Jennifer has been practicing yoga and has been a yoga teacher for 11 years. She attended Frog Pond Yoga Centre and studied a variety of yoga styles with a concentration in the Iyengar Hatha yoga style. She is also a certified prenatal yoga instructor and certified massage therapist. Her style is eclectic with a focus on integrating body awareness and mindfulness. Jennifer’s approach to teaching is “down-to-earth” and open-minded, feeling like a breath of fresh air after taking one of her classes. She has had the opportunity to watch many mothers transform in awe as they moved through their pregnancy but also has had the opportunity to follow some of the mothers into motherhood and beyond. She is not only a dynamic yoga instructor but is the proud mother of two young children.

Tiffany Petranto, Spanish Preschool Instructor

Tiffany has a degree in Spanish from Bowdoin College and has spent time living and studying in Spain. Before becoming a mom to daughter Elle in November, she taught Spanish at the middle school and pre-school levels, as well as providing private lessons to students of all ages.


Sonya Elenbaas, Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Beth Isreal Hospital

Sonya has a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing from Villanova University. She is a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is an avid runner, biker and hiker and was thrilled to join MOMfitters so that she could incorporate time with her baby into an active lifestyle. Sonya teaches MOMswim along with her fearless, water-loving assistant Sam (now 12 months).
